Event Details

Please join us for a fun day of giving back as we come together as volunteers to provide diagnostic gastroenterology procedures for our neighbors in need.
The first procedures will start at 8 AM, and we hope to wrap things up by 12:30 PM or 1 PM at the latest. Currently, Dr. Svahn (general surgery), Dr. Malkin (ENT), and Dr. Dickinson (Podiatry).
Please arrive early to enjoy hot coffee, juice, and a grab-and-go breakfast in the morning. At 10:30 am, Operation Access will provide a catered lunch.
You may also reach out to the leads at Kaiser Permanente Oakland - Tim Mc Donald(Pre-op), Ricardo Charles (anesthesia), Malia Isolani (OR), and Katrina Nims (PACU).
Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center allows volunteers from other Kaiser Permanente sites. However, in order to volunteer from another site, it is essential to verify credentials before the session, so connecting with the leads or Operation Access staff is imperative. If so, reach out to Operation Access staff to help you connect with the right person.
If you are on-call on the day of the session, you may not participate.
If you intend on having non-KP staff attend the session as a volunteer and/or observer, a compliance protocol must be completed and approval granted by Kaiser in advance. You may obtain documents here. Operation Access staff can answer questions related to the compliance protocol.

Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise. See you soon!
