Description

Celebrate Hanukkah with new works and rediscovered gems of klezmer, Romanian and Polish traditional music in your city Albany

Event Details

Founded in 2018, Baymele — "little tree" in Yiddish — is a klezmer trio rooted in the Bay Area. Their music showcases newly rediscovered gems from Ashkenazi Jewish, Polish, Romanian, Ukrainian, and Hungarian folk music traditions, alongside many of their own compositions. Baymele features Matthew Stein on violin and viola, Misha Khalikulov on cello, and Dmitri Gaskin on accordion and piano.
Your safe enjoyment of this wonderful music is our first priority! All artists, guests, and staff must be fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid 19 in order to attend. We will ask for proof of vaccination at the door. At this time, we are also requiring an N95, KN95, or double mask be worn, properly covering nose and mouth, throughout the performance.
