Brooklyn Basin

Description

Brooklyn Basin is an infill waterfront revitalization project along the Oakland Estuary. Previously, the site was a blighted industrial property that was closed to the public. In 2005, Signature Development Group envisioned a plan to transform the area into a world class park to be enjoyed by the residents and visitors to the Bay Area, as well as add thousands of market and affordable rate residences to a severely under-supplied market. The project is projected to generate over 10,000 jobs and millions in annual tax revenue for the City of Oakland. Currently, Signature Development Group and Zarsion Holdings are working with the City of Oakland to remediate the property and build key infrastructure to the site.
