Southie

Located on the border between Oakland and Berkeley in Rockridge, we are a small, lively restaurant serving terrific sandwiches by day and a delicious dinner by night, thanks to our Executive Chef Esteban Escobar.

We are happy members of the Wood Tavern family who provide gracious hospitality in a more casual environment. Please feel free to join us for some wine or a snack with us while you wait for your Tavern dinner reservation, or for any meal that suits you. We are open Monday through Saturday from nine until nine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Yes, please do eat three square meals with us.) On Sundays we serve brunch from nine until three. We do not take reservations, but are always happy to pour you beer and wine from the Southie tap while you wait.
