Thanksgiving can be a wonderful time to gather and celebrate with family and friends, however this holiday is filled with historical and continuing violence.
Event Details
For everyone who is seeking something different for this holiday, we offer an alternative all-vegan potluck to challenge the conventional Thanksgiving celebration centered around the erasure of indigenous communities and mass killing of turkeys.
Everyone is welcome - vegan or not - all food at the event will be vegan. Please bring a vegan dish, beverage, or dessert to share. If you cannot bring something to share, please consider donating $3-5 to the space.
Please note that some folks in attendance will be fasting, but don't be shy to come regardless of if you are fasting or not. Those who are fasting will break their fast at midnight.
