Description
Some say the best way to celebrate the 4th of July is with a small town style parade where families of all ages line the sidewalks with their folding chairs and waive flags at each passerby.
Event Details
It really is a fun and family-friendly way to spend the holiday morning—and your crowd-loving dog can come too!
Berkeley Humane would like to invite you to experience this uniquely American activity by joining our volunteer contingent as we march in Piedmont’s Annual 4th of July Parade. Each year our group has grown—and this year we hope to reach 100 people (and even more dogs) walking down the main street in Piedmont and handing out candy to the kids and most importantly, treats for the dogs!
We will be followed close behind by our Mobile Adoption Center decorated in red, white, and blue bunting! We will be printing a specially designed t-shirt for our group so please register today and plan to participate in the fun!
-----
Our group is required to assemble between 10:00 AM – 10:30AM at a location that will be assigned to us closer to the event. The parade starts at 11 AM but we do have to wait our turn to begin walking. The walk is easy and mostly level—about 1.5 miles at a slow pace.
